Book to Film Adaptations
July through September 2024
Summer is here! Since I spent most of June stuck in bed binge watching TV and movies, the last thing I want to do is sit in front of a screen. But I have been keeping up with what is coming out this summer.
I’ve starred the books I’ve read.
…Starting with a last-minute June addition:
June 28th *Wondla based on the book, The Search for Wondla by Tony Diterlizzi (Apple TV+) I have such fond memories of reading this science fiction book aloud to my kids when they were little!
July:
July 10th Sunny by Colin O’Sullivan (Apple TV +)
July 19th *Lady in the Lake by Laura Lippman (Apple TV+)
July 26th Starve Acre based on the book by Andrew Michael Hurley (theaters)
August:
August 9th It Ends With Us based on the book by Colleen Hover. (In theaters)
August 11th American Godfathers: The Five Families based on the book Five Families: the Rise, Decline, and Resurgence of America’s Most Powerful Mafia Empires by Selwyn Raab (The History Channel)
September 27th *The Wild Robot by Peter Brown (theaters) Again, I loved reading this one to my kids when they were younger.
September 27th Lee based on The Lives of Lee Miller by Antony Penrose
