Book to film posts are always some of my favorite to write because I get to so excited about book adaptations! And I get to learn about books that I’ve perhaps never heard of but now feel desperate to read before their adaptation drops.
I’m starting out with a movie that was released in December, but since I saw it yesterday and it’s based on a novel and I loved it, I had to include it.
I wish I had read this novel before seeing the movie, but I loved the film so much, I may go back and read the book, which is not the order in which I usually do things. This movie is a steampunk, surreal adventure about a woman finding her agency. I’ll leave it at that. I’m including the trailer, but I have to say, when I saw this trailer a few months ago, I had NO interest in seeing the film. But then my dad saw it and loved it and convinced me that the trailer didn’t do it justice. He was right!

Which one are you most excited to read / watch? Did I miss any? I’m most excited to read The Expatriate and to watch Lisa Frankenstein.
Oh wow, I had no idea that Poor Things was a book! I saw that movie last week and absolutely loved it. I might try to read it now as well.
What a great list. I haven’t read or seen any of these. Should I read the books first? If yes, which one should I start with?
