Books covers are so engaging. I know I’m not supposed to judge, but the covers invite me to read them all. I’m behind on milk and honey- I’ll read it as soon as I’m done catching up with Substack.
How can we not judge them? I think they can either entice us or be a real turn off when they're not well-matched with the story that's being told. Everyone I've spoken with who has designed a cover has actually read the book they're designing for. But sometimes I see mismatched covers and wonder if they even read the book. No worries about being behind! No grading here. Just-for-fun book talk!
