First things first:
Tomorrow is Tuesday, which means it’s NEW BOOK RELEASE DAY! Which means my New Book Release and Paperback release newsletter goes out to subscribers. Woot Woot! I may move my newsletter over to substack once I figure it all out, but for now, if you want to receive it, you can sign up here!
I haven’t even been in New York 24 hours, but I’ve already visited three bookstores!
The first was the Strand stand in front of Central Park South where I purchased Wide Sargasso Sea By Jean Rhys for 50% off! I’ve been wanting to read this Jane Eyre inspired novel for forever.
Since we had no luggage (long story, visit my Instagram Page to see why), we purchased a day’s worth of clothing and stumbled upon Argosy Book Store, which specializes in secondhand books.
Look at these beautifully bound relics! Most things were pretty pricey, but I did find a young adult book of baseball stories for my youngest.
Next, we headed to the Bowery to explore and lo and behold, I was at The Strand’s flagship store. I don’t tend to get overwhelmed in bookstores as they’re my happy place, but I’ll admit it, I was overwhelmed and didn’t last long. Probably because I’d already walked over five miles that morning and my brain was tired.
Anyhow, if you’re in New York, I’d recommend visiting any of these stores!
