Books Are My People: A Podcast Companion Newsletter
Dear Reader,
The school year is winding down for both of my kids and we’re planning our summers. Mine obviously includes lots and lots of reading! Last year, I began taking six weeks off from my podcast over the summer, in order to give myself some time to regroup. So much work goes into the podcast: communicating with publicists, reading books in preparation, writing interview questions, editing, creating promotional posts for the show…typing it all out here makes my head spin! As excited as I am for my little break, I still have about six weeks of work to do. This break will feel well-earned and if you’re jonesing, I have a ton of episodes published. You can’t have listened to all of them, right?
Podcast News: You can click here to listen to the most recent episode of my book recommendation podcast. And, if you haven't yet, the greatest gift would be to rate my show, wherever you listen.

I’ve been off processed sugar for over a week now and I thought it would be so hard, but it’s really not. If I get a craving, I just eat an orange or an apple. I’m trying to get rid of inflammation and my joints always feel better off of sugar, so I guess I’ll just paint dessert instead of eating it for now!
